We came to Las Vegas in the morning. The first thing we did was to go to hoover dam that took 45 minutes by car. We stayed there to two o'clock. It was really awesome to see because you've never seen something like that before. After that we went back to the city but we took a stop to eat something at mcdonalds because it was fast and easy. Then we went to our hotel to check in, where we would stay for four nights. Once we had checked in we went up and put our stuff in the room then we went down and looked around in the hotel. Then we went swimming in one of hotelets pools. It was a very large hotel and I dont think I have ever lived in such a nice and great hotel for as cheap as it was. But the only reason that you get to stay there so cheap is because they want people to spend their money on the casino instead.

The other three nights we slept at the hotel, we did nothing special, we just lay by the pool. Then we were in town and checked out the city. I must say that it was very cool to be out in the city of Las Vegas at night, it is truly a city that never sleeps. It was big flashing signs everywhere and it was light on almost every building. After we had checked out on the fifth day, we went around town during the day and it was not the same atmosphere at night but it was still okay. We did nothing special this day except we went to check out the Paris, Las Vegas hotel and a casino at day and night time. In the center of the place where the hotel/casino was, it was a half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower, two thirds copy of the Arc de Triomphe, the hotel that recall architecture interfere Paris Opera House and the Louvre. It was so cool and amazing, I love it.

The last two days we went out to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Where we were biking the first day and it was very hard because there were many uphills and very rocky. But it was fun and we exercise at the same time so it was good, especially after all meals at mcdonalds. The next day we went out and walked instead so we could see a bit more of the countryside and take stops to take pictures. We slept in the car these two days and then continue on to Los Angeles. There have been seven very fun days here in Las Vegas and we got a very mixed environment.

No internet ;(

Hello dear friends :)

Our camera

We have not had access to the internet so I will tell you a little about what we have done in recent days. We have been in both Portland and Six Rivers National Forest. Day two we went early in the morning to Portland, where we visited a very nice zoo with many different species of animals. It reminds me of Borås Zoo in Sweden when you see how the park is built, but Oregon Zoo was much larger and they also had more animals, it was better in every way. The next day we just went around and checked out the town. We ate at MacDonald's and slept in the car these days because we do not want to waste too much money here, we'd rather save to Las Vegas.

When we were in the National Forest, we walked and camped there. We walked around all day but took several stops where we had food and just took a brake. We brought our lunch that we had bought the day before in Portland there we also bought a small tent so that we could camp in the woods. We did not do very much these days we were in the forest. It's a pretty big difference in the forest here and in Sweden because in Sweden we have more flat land and here we have more hills and mountains. It was very fun to be in a different environment than we usually are in.

We arrived to the Tacoma International Airport in Seattle today, and there we picked up our are pickup truck. We have chosen this car because it is not very common in Sweden and we need a pickup truck because we are going to sleep in the back of the car. The first thing we did was to drive in the city and find a restaurant.



We find a restaurant called Metropolitan Grill on Marion st & 2nd Ave, it was a little bit expensive but it was our first day in the U.S. The weather was very cold but we are used to that because it's often cold in Sweden. We decided to stay at The College Inn hotell because it seems to be a good place to stay at and it dosent need to be very expensive because we are only gonna stay there one night. So after we had eat at the Metropolitan Grill we went to go shopping. Then we drived to the hotell because we were supposed to get up early the day after and continue our trip to Portland.
